This policy covers clueroll.com. ClueRoll is a browser-based puzzle game, with no player account or cloud-save service. For privacy questions, contact the site operator at kelvin26z19@gmail.com.
Game progress on your device
The game uses browser local storage to keep puzzle progress, completion records, collected fragments, time and hint statistics, and interface preferences. This lets you return to a puzzle in the same browser. These game saves are not uploaded to a ClueRoll player database and do not sync between devices.
You can remove them through your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing site data also removes local progress and rewards. Private browsing, blocked storage, or automatic browser cleanup can prevent or remove saves. Local data remains until you or your browser removes it, or the game replaces it as you play.
Basic gameplay statistics
We count puzzle starts, completions and use of each hint category, and aggregate completion time, route rolls and hint totals to improve the game. Only the puzzle date, daily/weekly mode, event category and numeric totals are sent to our same-origin endpoint. The database immediately combines them into daily counters and sums, retained for up to 30 days. It does not store individual events, player or session identifiers, answers, moves, IP addresses, device fingerprints or referrers. Hosting still processes network requests as described below.
There is no return-visit tracking or cross-site matching. Counts are not unique people: a page reload or another tab can count again. Restoring a completed puzzle does not report a new completion. You can switch basic game statistics off using the footer control. Only that on/off preference is saved locally; gameplay is unaffected. We also exclude browsers that signal Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, automated browsers, and browsers where the preference cannot be read. Already combined totals cannot be traced back to a person. This control does not change Cloudflare Web Analytics or necessary hosting logs.
Hosting and technical information
Cloudflare delivers and protects this website. Requests necessarily expose technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, request time, and browser information to the hosting service. Cloudflare may process traffic and security logs to operate and protect the service. Its infrastructure may process information outside your country.
See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its practices. Provider-managed logs and retention are separate from the browser saves described above; clearing your browser does not erase hosting logs.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics / Real User Monitoring. Cloudflare can add a performance beacon to delivered pages to collect page-view and performance information, such as the page URL and loading measurements, and send it to Cloudflare. This helps assess how the site performs. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as not using cookies or local storage to track individual visitors. See its data-collection documentation.
ClueRoll does not currently embed advertising or advertising trackers. Its own local storage is used for game features and any statistics preference you choose. Hosting security features may use essential cookies when required to protect the site; see Cloudflare’s cookie documentation. Performance analytics, security cookies, and technical hosting logs are distinct from your locally saved game progress.
When you contact us
If you email kelvin26z19@gmail.com, the site operator receives your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to include. These are used to respond, investigate the reported issue, and maintain necessary support records. The contact inbox is hosted by Gmail, so Google processes email under its Privacy Policy.
Contact messages are kept as needed to handle the enquiry and related support, security, or legal obligations. There is no fixed automatic deletion period promised here. You may request deletion by email; information may need to be retained where required by law or to resolve an ongoing issue. Please send only information relevant to your request.
Sharing and other services
ClueRoll does not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information may be processed by hosting and email providers as described above, or disclosed when legally required. When you choose to copy, download, or share a result, your device creates or passes that result to the destination you select. A recipient or external service handles it under its own rules. Opening an external link also takes you outside this policy.
Your choices and requests
You can play without creating an account, remove local saves through browser settings, and choose whether to send email or share results. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to raise a concern with a privacy authority. Contact kelvin26z19@gmail.com to make a request about information held by the site operator. Reasonable identity verification may be needed; do not send identity documents unless a suitable verification method has been agreed.
We cannot remotely retrieve or delete a save held only in your browser. If a child has sent personal information by email, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its removal.
Policy changes
This page will be updated when the site’s data practices change, with the date shown above. New accounts, cloud saves, advertising, or tracking would require a review of this policy and any applicable notice or consent requirements before being introduced.
